Akbar Yakub (Agile Coach)

For nearly a decade, I have been in the Project Management space. During this time, I have been interviewed at and have accepted the role of Scrum Master at a multitude of Fortune 500 companies including:

  • Grainger

  • UnitedHealth Group

  • Optum Healthcare

  • Walmart

  • …and several others.


After going through countless interviews, I have identified what works and what doesn’t when it comes to the interview process - and am excited to share my insights with those looking to pursue a career path as a Scrum Master.

If you are asking this, then you clearly have not yet met my incredible wife who keeps track of my appointments, masterminded the idea of me helping others with their Scrum careers, and is a Certified Scrum Master herself. She accomplishes as much as a whole team would and brings a wealth of knowledge/expertise to the table & I’m thrilled to have her on this journey by my side.

While I’m the one that connects with Agilists on video calls, credit should be given where credit is due and she definitely deserves a lot of it for keeping everything running on the backend.
