The High Performance Tree

Pulled from her book Coaching Agile Teams, Lyssa Adkins discusses the concept of the high performance tree, which is a visual representation of the behaviors and practices that contribute to high-performing agile teams.

The tree is divided into three main branches: technical excellence, team health, and leadership. Each branch represents an area of focus for coaches and teams working towards high performance, with specific behaviors and practices related to that focus. By working on all three branches of the high performance tree, teams can continuously improve and achieve their goals more effectively.

Adkins's book provides valuable insights and practical advice for coaches looking to support and guide teams towards high performance. Highly recommend picking it up - more information around recommended resources can be found on our Scrum Resources page.
