As a Scrum Master, running a successful retrospective requires creating a safe and open environment, starting with a clear agenda, using different retrospective techniques, following up on action items, and continuously improving the process.

The Scrum Master is to do “whatever is needed to help the team become high-performing.” With such a vague outline, it is no wonder that confusion abounds around the responsibilities of the role.
